Rebecca qualified as an occupational therapist in 2010 before returning to Jersey, where she has worked across a wide range of settings including on acute and orthopaedic wards at the general hospital, as well as in community environments such as clients’ own homes and care homes.
A friendly and compassionate professional, Rebecca takes a holistic approach to her work. She collaborates closely with clients, families, and carers to set meaningful, client-focused goals and support individuals in achieving their maximum level of independence.
Rebecca has a strong interest in neurological rehabilitation. She has recently undertaken training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, and has also completed a dedicated Neurological Upper Limb course to further enhance her knowledge and clinical practice in supporting individuals with upper limb impairments following neurological injury.
She also has a particular passion for postural management and, in 2015, completed the renowned “Postural Management for People with Complex Disabilities” course at the Oxford Centre for Enablement. Since then, she has played a key role in developing Jersey’s postural management and wheelchair service. Rebecca is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
An enthusiastic and dedicated therapist, Rebecca is committed to empowering and motivating her clients to reach their full potential and live as independently and comfortably as possible.
